    Why we built it

    Resumes broke. Hiring didn't get fixed.

    Resume fraud is now routine. Job boards reward sponsored spend more than candidate fit. Small-business owners interview people who never show up, or who do show up and can't do the work.

    For service-industry roles, the resume was never the right artifact in the first place. A bartender, a barber, an HVAC tech, a line cook — none of them are best described by bullet points.

    Vetano replaces the resume with three things owners can actually use: a verified identity, a short intro video, and proof of skill. That's the entire thesis.

    Proof beats paper

    A resume tells you what someone claims. A 60-second video, a verified ID, and a short skill clip tell you who they are and what they can actually do.

    Identity is non-negotiable

    Every candidate on Vetano clears government-ID verification. The person in the profile is the person who shows up.

    Built for the people doing the hiring

    Owner-operators don't have recruiting teams. Vetano is designed for the person who runs the shop, the kitchen, the crew — not the corporate ATS workflow.

    We optimize for signal, not volume. A short, real conversation in video form beats a hundred low-signal resumes.

    Profiles, videos, and skill clips belong to the people who create them — portable across jobs, shareable as a personal link.

      Closed private friends-and-family round; built and shipped the iOS and Android apps with identity verification, intro videos, and skill videos.
