Why now, why this
The U.S. service economy hires tens of millions of people per year. The dominant tools — Indeed, ZipRecruiter, Craigslist — were built for a resume-first world that never fit hourly, customer-facing, or trade work. Owners suffer ghost applications, no-shows, and resume fraud. Workers suffer invisibility.
Verified identity, intro video, and skill proof are now cheap to capture on a phone, fast to verify with modern KYC, and trusted by both sides of the transaction. The unlock is bringing them together in a product purpose-built for owner-operators, not enterprise recruiting teams.
Distribution is the second unlock. The Paychex partnership in progress puts Vetano in front of 740,000+ small-business customers through an existing trusted relationship — collapsing the cost of acquiring the demand side of the marketplace.
